| ...i think this song is about a missing voice...he speaks to someone who does not speak back, and only gets back messages through an Other. i think the idea is that he is comparing this situation to Gong Li's usual screen role, a woman who suffers much at the hands of an oblivious Other (esp. in "Raise the Red Latern"). | |
