| I listened to a radio interview with Eddie Vedder, Mike McCready and Stone Gossard recently. In referring to their song, they basically said that there was a time when they were wasting their lives in publicity, depression, drugs, etc. They came to realise this, and made a conscious decision to never go back to that again. They also speak out in their sorrow for so many people in the world who waste their lives in similar ways, or ruining the environment, or living to accumulate money, or being so lame people actually give a damn about what celebrities eating habits are so on. Eddie's basically saying: there is so much out there in the world that you can do, have an impact on, and get great joy out of - so get your arse off the couch, get out there and do it! | |
