One of the first rock bands to be associated with the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal movement that originated in 1979, the original line-up of Angel Witch went under the name Lucifer. Comprising guitar virtuoso and vocalist Kevin Heybourne, Bob Downing (guitar), Kevin Riddles (bass) and Dave Hogg (drums), the band changed their name to Angel Witch with the departure of Downing.
