SONG: Looking Back On Today (#12)
BAND: The Ataris
ALBUM: So Long, Astoria
TABBER: iknowflea

This, in my opinion, is the best Ataris song besides
San Dimas High School Football Rules. It’s also very
hard to figure out because the bass isn’t very loud.
Hope I got it all in there. Here it is:

INTRO (begins at 0:11):
G:-------------------------------------------------------
D:-2222222222-1111111111---------------------------------
A:-----------------------4444444444-0000000000-----------
E:-------------------------------------------------------

G:-------------------------------------------------------
D:-22222-------------------------------------------------
A:-------00000-44444-22222-000000000-0~------------------
E:-------------------------------------------------------

VERSE 1 (pretty much like the Intro, but a few differences):
G:-------------------------------------------------------
D:-2222222222-1111111111---------------------------------
A:-----------------------444444444-0000000000------------
E:-------------------------------------------------------

G:-------------------------------------------------------
D:-22222-------------------------------------------------
A:-------00000-44444-22222-00000000000000000000----------
E:-------------------------------------------------------

G:-------------------------------------------------------
D:-2222222222-1111111111---------------------------------
A:-----------------------444444-6-7--0000000000----------
E:-------------------------------------------------------

G:-------------------------------------------------------
D:-22222-------------------------------------------------
A:-------00000-44444-22222-00000000000000000000----------
E:-------------------------------------------------------

PRE-CHORUS
G:---------------------------------------------------------
D:---------------------------------------------------------
A:-----------------------444444-222222---------------------
E:-2222222222-5555555555---------------5555555555----------

D:---------------------------------------------------------
G:---------------------------------------------------------
A:-2222222222-4444444444-555555555555555-5/175------------
E:---------------------------------------------------------

CHORUS:
G:-------------------------------------------------------
D:-2222222222-1111111111---------------------------------
A:-----------------------44444-22222-0000000000----------
E:-------------------------------------------------------

G:-------------------------------------------------------
D:-22222-------------------------------------------------
A:-------00000-44444-22222-0000000000000000000000--------X2
E:-------------------------------------------------------

2ND VERSE:
G:------------------------421------------------------------
D:-2~2-1---------------------4-22222-----------------------
A:-------444444-6-7-00000------------00000-44444-22222-0>--
E:---------------------------------------------------------

VERSE 1
PRE-CHORUS
CHORUS X4 (there are a few little things here and there,
but it’s pretty much the same)

Keep a lookout for this; it’s sometime after the
2nd repeat of the chorus the 2nd time (confusing, eh?)
G:-4-2-1-2--
D:----------
A:----------
E:----------

And that’s pretty much it. This is an incredibly beautiful
song, and like I said, it’s my favorite Ataris song.
Hopefully I did it justice by tabbing it right. Later!
