Biography
Comprising core members Saúl Hernández (vocals), Alejandro Marcovich (guitar) and Alfonso André (drums), the Caifanes formed in Mexico City, Mexico, in the mid-80s. They have subsequently grown to epitomize the vibrancy of the "Rock en Espanol" movement, which has pockets throughout South America as well as Spain and the USA. Combining dark, pagan imagery more readily associated with death metal bands, the Caifanes combine this with lustrous, psychedelic art rock.
