Montreal, Canada-based outfit led by songwriter Murray Lightburn (guitar/keyboards/vocals). Formed in 1995, the Dears evolved from the wreckage of Lightburn's previous band the Wrens, from whom he took drummer John Todd and bass player Andrew White.
