b. André Romell Young, 18 February 1965, South Central, Los Angeles, California, USA. Widely regarded, by Rolling Stone magazine at least, as the chief architect of west coast gangsta rap, Dre's musical career began as a DJ at Los Angeles dance club, Eve After Dark.
