| I agree with you anime, and that's what i think too. the first time I heard this song was on roswell, and i was shocked when i looked up the lyrics. i find myself feeling like nothing quite often. sad, but it's nice to find songs that relate to me in some way...gives me relief somehow. =P the "she smiled and looked at me, and said..." really gives the chorus that much more punch, because it's true. you feel like nothing to someone, yet all you can do is smile and pretend it's no big deal. | |

| I think this song is about rape. The girl in the song was raped previously and can't have a relationship because of this, and because it's such a terrible thing and no one could really understand, she tells him "you don't know what it's like". When you're raped you feel alone and insignificant and like nothing, so that's what I think it's about. | |

| Amen! The only thing i could possibly add to that is I believe the lyrics could also symbolize a bitter relationship torn apart by addictions, whether it was drugs, infidelity, etc. I get the impression from the song that he originally was interested in her and wanted to help, but her issues caused him to lose respect for her in the end; the message I get is "Told you so." This is another one that showcases the band's perfect combination of hooks, emotion, and vocal precision. To hell with comparisons, there is only one Econoline Crush! Make sure to check out Trevor's new project with members of Collective Soul and Holly McNarland, EARLY MOSES!!! | |

| I think this song is about the singer not knowing what rejection is like and is the main reason he does it. The verses seem to be mocking the rejected. And the girl is telling him he doesn't know what it's like in the chorus. Tight song. "I feel like nothing at all, cause you don't know what it's like." 1 | |

| it seems he's talking about a relationship that really never existed or that had to end, whether it be her or his fault and she is telling him how she now feels.......either he treated her wrong or she just can't be in relationships......i just know that i love hearing the chorus "you don't know what it's like, i feel like nothing at all, you don't know what it's like" the emotion that exudes from these lyrics, especially when heard, just relate this to how i felt after a relationship went bad w/ a guy i knew was wrong for me but i kept going back....and now "i feel insignificant, i feel nothing at all" when it comes to him. rock on econoline! one of Canada's finest, bands that is!! | |

| one of the best by ec. btw, the version on brand new history was re-edited and it sounds smoother but not as rock as the original. the original is better if you're a fan of hard rock, and it's on the much big shiny tunes 4. anyway, i love this song. you can't really dance to it or anything.. i tried singing to it but trevor's voice is too low or too high for me.. (waah) but it still rocks! has anyone noticed the end is really cheesy, with the quiet guitar and all? eh! at least trevor is still performing! whenever Hurst comes to my city, I'm there! | |
