| God is a-aye-mazing. I do love this chorus as well. Yeah the song is basically about thinking you're mature enough to withstand temptation in a relationship, and then getting in too deep. | |

| definitely agree with brandonissuperhot and christsidrider "We’re just the boys and girls that think they always know" we think that we are so smart a lot of times. turth is, we're not. we think we're so mature that we can be physical in a relationship, but that ultimately will just lead to pain. i think this is referring to sex. "Always trying what I can to be a child and not a man" goes along with the above. we think we are mature, but what we are doing is very childish. the truth is, we all want sex, we just dont want the consequences. alot of times guys will say "im havin sex cause im a real man" thats bull. it takes a real man to wait. that is also what he is talking about here. words turn into actions so quickly "my hands across your clothes, and me without a plan." this is the couple who has no idea what they are doing when they begin to get physical. Emery is so sarcastic in a way, pointing out that teenagers start their own problems. i love it and completely agree. Emery rocks, but God rules. | |

| i agree with you christsiderider, this is about purity in relationships. it is refering to teenagers when it talks about "the boys and girls that think they always know." teenagers can be so confident in their own strength that they allow themselves to get caught in a bad situation "without a plan." i especially like the lines "How quickly words can become our hands / Resigning everything we believe" - this is talking about how thoughts can suddenly turn into action, and you can go against everything that you know is right. | |

| Wow, I never thought of it the way everyone else does, but that makes a lot of sense. I can't agree with everything about the religion sense, but I fully agree- the purity of relationships. The point being, sex should be special, not casual. Emery pretty much owns. Oh yes. | |

| i think this song is bout purity and realationships. how quick lust can come into a relationship. at the end i think it says " and not a woman and man", but i could be wrong. that might mean keeping themselves in a mindset of children rather than of adults. in the bible it says that to enter the kingdom of heaven, you must be like children. or i could be wrong... | |

| what does this song mean to me... well it explains to me how i should keep who i am and not let who i am go to waste. from what i understood it is tlaking about little kiddie crushes haah and yea them thinking that what they have is the world and that everything that they created and made is amazing and they are os proud of it but then unless you are able to handle the responisibilty of a relationship all that you worked for gets crashed down. i dont know a lot of the time i get these things wrong and everyone probablly laughs at what i write haah but thats okay. umm yea... im out lol. have a good one | |

| purity my ass this song is about how love can be/should be/is more than just sex... also, since teens always think they are right, u finaly realise you have become mature, and you rethink if u have made the right decion..so ur not always right nomor, | |
