| I totally agree with garnetstone. I dont think that this song should be looked upon as being sad, it's there to give death a sense of hope. The way she says she's not afraid and describes it so beautiful and 'white' and thinks that the person she's leaving will meet again in a better world. I doubt this is about suicide though, she doesn't seem to want to leave. | |

| I like this song a LOT. I think that it is quite simple really, it is just about someone who knows they are going to die and they are saying goodbye | |

| I'll miss the winter, a world of fragile things... looke for me in the white forest hiding in a hollow tree(can you find me)- it means that her depressed and angry side seems to be takig over(the white forest) and she needs someone to show her love to snap her out of it( look for me in the whiote forest...) the hold on to me love part isn't a physical death, it is a death of her happiness. | |

| i think that this is the best song eva, together with a few other A.lee's songs...i think its about saying goodbye to someone you really love, telling them not to worry, yet knowing how much you are going to hurt them, and that you as you go to " the winter" will be waighting for them as tey continue to live in this world, in what i imagine to be pure hell... | |

| It was written in a different context. As an outside friend looking in. A friend who has seen a life of her other friend be changed and turned upside down. Her friend trys committing suciede. And the girl telling the story sees her friend going down fast. And she wants to change that world for her. It is like she is telling the story for them both. From her side and her friends. She is saying i want to save you... and her friend is saying i want to die. So she is the one reaching out to help her... and in her own heart she bleeds for the sadness of her friend. And her freind who feels like dieing bleeds as well for the pain that lies within her heart. So to me it seems like one story told in two different ways. Coming from either side. One who sees the pain of another and wants to help. And another living that pain looking for her way out!! | |

| "I know the difference, Between myself and my reflection. I just can't help but to wonder, Which of us do you love." This part makes me think about maybe your in a relationship and you start to wonder what that person likes you for...your personality or your reflection. This doesnt seem to fit in all the lyrics... | |

| "Will make sense when I get better. I know the difference, Between myself and my reflection. I just can't help but to wonder, Which of us do you love. " This song kinda hints that is it about 'Split Personalities'. That someone is unhappy with themselves. Another amazing song by an amazing band... | |

| Well, This reminds me of that one Johnny the Homicidal Maniac Die-ary entry where hes sitting in front of the mirror where he writes: Dear Die-ary, I stared, motionless, before the mirror. As always, I stayed until I'm convinced that there is no glass, nothing, separating me from the room I see on the other side. I imagine that everything is different. Over there. Better. There are people, in that world, who I would like. But, like always, my hand hits the glass. I know that if I'd only waited one more second... Shit. I'm gonna go kill a party clown. Heres the picture: http://www.tbns.net/georgis./jthm/scans/mirror.jpg So yeah......Thats what this song reminds me of. *sulks back into corner* | |

| DyerMaker, That it is, a beautiful song. I have no idea where to buy sheetmusic--look at FindFreeSheetMusic.Com, although since this song was never supossed to be released (?) then they most likely will not have it. I think that this song is about Amy Lee, struggiling to fight a spirt that she has inside of her, that keeps creeping out at different times, and whenever that does comeout, Amy feels scared, lost, and willl try things to prevent it. | |

| I see this song as being about suicide, personally, even though I can't put my finger on any particular phrase pointing to that. She's dying in her lover's arms, and wants to make sure that he knows she'll be okay. The verse "I'll miss the winter/A world of fragile things/Look for me in the white forest/Hiding in a hollow tree (Come find me)" seems to be inviting her lover to join her in the afterlife, and I've always pictured the two of them walking together after death in a wintertime forest. | |

| I love evanescence, and i love this song. I think its like everyone has been saying, a girl in relationship with a guy who only cares about the way she looks, so she smashes the mirror, and cuts herself doing so and bleeds to death hence, bleed and breath no more. | |

| I love that idea about the fact that even in death there is hope, cos we know we'll be going to a better place. Personally, I am a Christian and I think that when we dioe we'll go to heaven and a perfect world with no suffering, pain, or anything, but this song really captures that idea of the pain of 'transition' between life and death. | |
