song: The Honeymoon Song
artist: Everclear
album: Songs From an American Movie, Volume One: Learning How to Smile
tabbed by: Matthew Zelman (mzelman@yahoo.com)

A very cool, very simple, bass-driven song

intro:
g-5--5/3--3/2--2/1--1/5----------|---------------------------------
d------------------------5-3-1---|---------------------------------
a------------------------------3-|-3--3/1--1/0----------3--------3- hold last note
e--------------------------------|--------------5/4--4-----3-1-0---

chorus:
g---------------------------- ----------------------------|---------------------
d---------------------------- ----------------------------|---------------------
a---------------3-3-3--7-5-3- X2, then ---------------3-3-3--------|---------------3-3-3-
e-1-1-1--3-3-3--------------- -1-1-1--3-3-3---------1-1-1-|-1-1-1--3-3-3--------

last 3 notes segue into verse:
g----------------------------|----------------------------
d----------------------------|----------------------------
a-3-3-3--1-1-1---------------|-3-3-3---------3-3-3--3-3-3-
e---------------5-5-5--4-4-4-|--------3-1-0---------------

Order of song:

intro
chorus
verse x3
chorus
verse x4
chorus

Then it's just guitar the rest of the way. All the timing and segues make sense
when you hear the song.

This song was written and sung by drummer Greg Eklund. He thought it up will returning from his honeymoon in hawaii. He was inspired by a uckilaly (bad spelling) that he bought there and thought it would sound good in a song.
