| There's a pretty significant mix up there, thats the gun of "lust" not the gun of "lost". I see Doppelganger as a kind of odyssey through relationship mishaps and the words are very much like someone's inner thoughts through a tough time. This song is about some kind of final solution through violence: the gunshot will end the life of the object of his desire, and thus bring finality to an ambiguous, tumultuous situation. No more "forever contradicting..." | |
