| one of the best off doppelganger, in my opinion. and i love when tom sings "i just want your attention, baby", because five seconds later he's screaming and i just find that hilarious. and i think the meaning of this song is rather blatantly obvious. | |

| oh and, the part where he says "im telling you the truth, im telling you the truth i swear" is reffering to how like, when guys pick up chicks, theres always t his facade, this image that ppl want to sortve emanate, so this line is like when the guy says, no joke im for real, i rele think you have beautiful eyes or w/e. its refering to the guy reassuring that hes for real. then the ironic twist, is that after this line, of reassurance, it goes straight to- i just want your attention baby, every sweatsoaked night every taunting fight (i love this line), see now this line is somewhat confusing, cuz it can be interpreted two ways. One, it could be actually saying htat he might be interested in the chick, he actually wnats her attention and he wants everything, the good and the bad - sweat soaked nights and taunting fights, as long as he can have her. that type thing. Or. it can be interpreted that, he just wants that physical, raw, passion that comes with sex and their immediate chemistry when he sees her. Of course, for the sake of the whole rest of the song, the 2nd interpretation is the best, however, lets just say, FoT wanted to be ironic and turn the song around, it could be the first interpretation. | |

| While of course the song is about no-strings sex, the speaker seems to want more, or at the very least find the practice annoying. He calls it a "jaded masquerade" after all. Seems this isn't just about no-strings-attatched sex, but also against it. | |
