Biography
San Francisco hardcore band Flipper formed in 1979 with original members Will Shatter (d. 1987; bass, vocals), Steve DePace (drums), both former members of Negative Trend, Bruce Lose (bass, vocals) and Ted Falconi (guitar), also of Negative Trend, on drums. Following the single "Love Canal"/"Ha Ha", on Subterranean Records, the group released its debut and best-known album, Generic, in 1982.
