I love this song very much.. hence my screen name and all. But I think that, although "suicide" does cover it really well, it's kind of about.. the thought process DURING the act of suicide, you know? Anyone could write a song about 'cutting yourself and dying because of blah blah' (and that's why we have emo) but this song is so much deeper, just going into the mind of the author.
