| I agree this is one of the best on the album! And i also agree with the parents staying together for the kids. They have no idea how much it hurts! Victor kinda reminds me of myself. 'he's dying to get away let the pain of yesterday go slipping through the cracks' it seems like he is just taking it in but not letting any of it out. And it says 'i know when his mom and dad broke up it didn't make sence' it seems like Victor wasn't letting it out. He wasn't telling his friend what was wrong and there for he was lost and confused. but that is just what i think! | |

| Though I know it isn't, the voice on the chorus bears an uncanny resemblance to Chester of Linkin Park... | |

| Really I thought Red meant the pain like blood and Black is death.. "He's trying to get away" basically suicide.. pretty heavy lol. | |

| This kid, Victor, had a hard-drinking father, who went blowing all the money the family had on drinking and drugs. The mom was sick of this, so she left, not stopping to think of Victor... leaving Victor in his father's shadow pushed him to do exactly as hid dad did. Sad story. Brilliant song, though. | |

| It's just about family issues. This song is probably nearest to Linkin Park's usual lyrical themes - from the POV of a young person who is feeling pain because of their parents, wanting to get away, etc. I think Mike's verse is kinda weak in this but the others make up for it. | |

| No, the red is anger and the black is neutrality. The song doesn't end on a positive anough note for acceptance. | |
