The Get Up Kids
Valentine
Tabbed by Jason the Great (DAWgAWD@HoTMaiL.com)

the bass through a lot of this song is sort of quiet and takes a good ear (or a
stereo
with good bass) to pick it out, but this is how I think it goes.

INTRO
G|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|-----------------9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-|

A|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
E|-4-----------------------------4-5-------------------------------|

the notes on the d string are not played on bass on the album, but they sound really
good,
they are an octave down from the guitar part. if you insist on playing it exactly
like
the
album, echo the "4" and "5" a few times on the E, listen carefully to the cd to see
what I
mean.

(...could another point of view...)
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-11-|
