| yeah, im pretty sure he isn't being serious when he talks about this girl. Its full of sarcasm. "she even got her very own ringtone" now come on.. schlep isn't shallow, and that's got to be about the shallowest definition of "love" i've ever heard. so, he's obviously making a bit of fun of that kind of situation... maybe people that think they're in love with every new person they meet, or whatever the situation is. it fits alot of cases... and its hilarious. | |

| Ok heres my idea... It's like gross exaggeration of those relationships that are just star crossed form the start, though the pair involved cannot see it until the excitement wears off and one maybe wants to take things further than the other. "take a look at my girlfriend she's the only one i got (ba ba da da) not much of a girlfriend i never seem to get a lot" (ba ba da da, ba ba da da) When the badababa plays it's like they've censored a word (In a cool way though!) so that the listener can interpret it however they wish. It's kind of like the down falls of the relationships start to show through. | |

| ok so this kind of goes the other one by lady luck, umm ok so first of all i think there are 2 stories being told here and they are talking about the same girl, one of the guys that had her thinks that "he never seems to get a lot" and the other guy that has her is completely in love with her and realizes the small things that she does for him that the other guy didnt pay attention to. they are distinguishing the 2 main categories of types of boys: jerks and actual good guys. | |
