Hmm, Apparently you don't know as much as you thought when it comes to music. "My Chemical Romance" and "Good Charlotte" arn't emo. However, if you actually like Hathorne Heights and it wasn't sarcasm on your part above, then I hope you realize that Hawthorne Heights just so happens to -be- emo. Another thing. They -are- great in concert. I also make an apperence on their dvd that comes with "The Silence In Black and White". Oh and "OldskoolrockerJTS"? You just got owned. Have a nice day:)

Good song. Very sad. In my opinion. No reason to say the same thing everyone else said about the meaning.

Ok, first of all. The line "i follow your chest bone (so i can see you breathing) some saw that i can see you, i can hear you breathing....exhale" is really... "i follow your chest and until i(so i can see you breathing) i can see you i can hear you breath in....exhale" It's a beautiful song. The lyrics very touching to me. In the beginning, "lets go down now into the darkness of your thoughts" it represents him waiting for her to fall asleep and begin to dream "hurry up now we're waiting for us to fall" he's anxious. he wants her to fall asleep. a kind of foreshadowing of something. "fall to pieces now ( fall to pieces) a broken mirror ( fall to pieces) and your life " shes obviously beginning to fall asleep. but he cant tell she has. hence the broken mirror. cant see a clear image through that now can you? and her life because thats what he wants to view into "the silence in black and white" its quiet during the night. and a human's vision can see more black and white than color :) "falling forward as she walks toward the light" the night is coming as she begins to dream of light aka happy dreams "RIGHT NOW im outside of your window with my radio" he wants to break the silence, he wants her to notice him waking the silence of the black and white now instead of waiting for her to realize hes there "i sleep with one eye open so i can see you breathing (i sleep with one eye open) " hes amused by her life, perhaps even greatful shes alive. making sure she never leaves his sight, he can keep one eye open and still get semi comfort in sleep "i follow your chest and until i(so i can see you breathing)" hes still trying to make sure shes alive. watching someones breathing is a first sign of consciousness and it also just goes beautifully as a lyric piece "i can see you i can hear you breath in....exhale" well. hes confirmed her life. she is real. shes there. and he knows shes not going to leave "you are the only station " it shows, if he listened to the radio. if she was the radio station. out of all the millions of stations. hed choose hers "you play the song i know you are the song i know" it shows how much he knows they are alike to each other. he knows her well. he obviously doesnt want to know about anyone else but her It is definitely a love song and a great one at that! :D

This song is amazing. I think that he means that his life is like the radio, it can change, but the only thing (station) he wants is her. Hawthorne Heights fuckin rules -Ashes
