tune down half a step

~=let note ring

main riff

well i stand next to the mountain...
Gb------------------
Db------------------
Ab------------------
Eb---0~--3-0~--3-0~-

(keep repeating the main riff until jimi sings: well i pick up all the pieces and make
it an island, then play this

Gb-----------------
Db----------------- (put some fills in here)
Ab-----------------
Eb----3~-----5~----

after that play the main riff twice then play this:

Gb-----------------
Db----------------- (puts some more fills here too)
Ab-----------------
Eb----8~-----10~---

after that return to the main riff

when jimi sings: and if i dont meet u no more in this world, play this

Gb-----------------
Db----------------- (put in fills)
Ab-----------------
Eb----3~-----5~----

play the main riff twice then play this

Gb-----------------
Db----------------- (put in fills)
Ab-----------------
Eb----8~-----10~---

return to main riff for rest of song

thats basically it. when u play the main riff use a bunch of different variations hammer
ons, pull offs, slides, anything that may pop into ur head but when u play the main riff
always try to end with an open note cause this is a song that drones alot like there are
a bunch of open notes. please rate.

any suggestions send to mkengmana@trevornet.org

i think it sounds better when u put a open before the second part of the main riff like this
------------------------
------------------------
------------------------
0~-----3-0~----0~---3-0~

otherwise great tab and for the parts after the main riff u do almost anyhthing on the e string. You can get away with almost anything
