| wow... please peopl -- if you don't know what you're talking about, don't say anything. -H-I-M- is in no way "satanic," nor is there a meaning for the letters HIM. Ville said it himself, they just come up with a different meaning for the letters all the time. The only reason they picked the name HIM was because the letters were all basically the same in every language. THERE IS NO MEANING. it's not "his infernal majesty." that's just a random name they said once. so get it straight. they play "love metal." just because they play metal, doesn't make them religious or anti-christ. they're just regular people making love songs... expressing it with metal rather than pop. | |

| I must certainly agree, -H-I-M- are a very great band. This is also one of the best covers I have ever heard. However, I find it really sad that most people only know of this band because some mainstream skater sports their merchandise. Another thing that alot of people don't really know is that HIM are a gothic metal band singing love songs. Therefore the term "Love Metal" is still a logical application to their music, however it definately carries that gothic metal sound and atmosphere. | |

| well heres my view on the whole name thing: HIM were orignally meant to be called his infernal majesty, (from a deicide song) because after arguing over a long time mige cleared it up by writing it really big on their best amp! but after a while they realised that it wouldnt really work as no one could say it as it was too long so they shortened it to HIM which is now their offical name. now, they do say if has many meanings like hanson is murdered and helsinki icehockey maniacs as a joke as his infernal majesty lost its real meaning after bein HIM 4 so long! | |
