I definatly think that it is about the dark side of the music industry, and although I am the first one to say that not all Courtney's songs are about Kurt; I always thought that when she says 'Where's your daddy gone, it's so awful' she was talking about the effect of Kurt's death on Frances.

I think this is probably about youth in general and how it slowly becomes tainted as you get older. It's probably about young people getting into the music industry and how they take young girls and mess them up by making them come across as 'sexy' and selling them. It's a good song.

this was the first hole song i ever heard, way back when i was wee little whatchamacallit sitting in my grandaddy's truck. i think it's pretty obvious this song is about fangirls. the girls who used to think she was so cool and now think she's sold out or killed kurt. fame is fickle. the first verse where they talk about the riots might be about the young girls who think they're punk or riotgrrls or whatever, but don't really know what that means. posers. and of course these little girls that worship kurt. and the lowest common denominator, and how even if you try not to sell out, hollywood will sell you out anyway. "Hey, run away with the light Run away it's divine Let's run away, yeah, tonight and We'll steal the light of the world" i guess she was hoping to change things. let's take the music away from hollywood. 1 2 Next
