This song is one of my favorite songs, hole and otherwise. It could mean a lot of things. It is about death and how someone who is dead keeps watch over a loved one on earth ''I'll be on the other side''or ''empty eyes''.Thus, it could be about Kurt Cobain, if you interpret it that way. However, that's not very likely the real meaning of it. But it could mean this. This song is about fading, rotting and being rotten. It is about rotting towards death, or in death. It is also about the music industry, and how that is rotten. It is a great song!

The missing lyrics are: "Do what you want, "Cause I'll do anything and, I'll take the blame. What's mine is yours, you can't have all of it, and I'll learn to beg..." "I want what's yours, Oh, I'd give anything and, I'll take the pain I wait alone, for what will never come, and, I'll throw it all away..."

God, are all Hole songs about Kurt Cobain? No, no they're not, and I personally believe this song is NOT about him. One of Courtney Love's best vocally, I think it's a beautiful song about gaining popularity and not knowing what to do with it.

I think this song has something to do with what she said at the MTV music awards with Madonna. She was talking about how she dates all the rock stars in the music industry (referring to them as surgeons) and how the relationships always fail. When she says "Oh the boys, on the radio/they crash and burn, they fold and fade so slow" and the rest of the lyrics she has somehow incorperated Kurt's death in there. Just my theory.
