| this is my favorite song on the debut album. "if wings lay unbroken would they still unfold" asks us whether if we never had conflicts would we be able to learn. in the song, Colin sings about how mistakes make us better people, but how they hurt us in the process and how there are times when we never learn. the last line "i will ask of no one" could show that we all have to "make [our] own way[s]" the the world and not acquire knowledge by asking, but by learning from actions 1 | |
