| Well the first part about the two soldiers on different sides of the war is about General Hancock and Gen(I think he was a general) Armistead, they were friends before the war and Armistead was quoted as saying "If I ever fight against you may God strike me dead." The second part is about Colonel Chamberlain's miraculous holding of Little Round Top(the unions flank.) Like Skeezix said, he was running out of ammo, but not only did they hold the line, they swept down the hill in a counterattack and crushed the rebs. Truly amazing probably my favorite story from the war. 1 | |
