This is the best I can do for now. I accept that it is probably wrong
but it is an attempt and that it all it is at the moment.

This is so original: "You're naked except for a newspaper/The headline's telling me 'Fortune favors the brave'/I've never been known to be that brave" Why is he reading the newspaper? He sounds a bit distracted, under the circumstances. Well, he IS distracted...only not in the manner you'd expect. Why is he hesitant? Does he know, himself? The middle eight, the part about "the entire Earth is outside this room," it's wonderful how the sound becomes completely different from the rest of the song, yet doesn't sound at all out-of-place. It fits perfectly. "I'm thinking about each promise that I have ever made." Everything in this song is internal; it's all inside his head. Is he thinking too much? Is he appalled that no one else seems to care about the things he thinks about? 1
