oh top song. i always though it was about life in general. and then saying "get into the car we'll be the passenger" as in asking everyone to see the world the way he does. if that makes sence..

it probably does have a much deeper meaning but to me this song is about when you take time out to think and look around you like when you're the passenger in a car.

This song always reminds me of getting ready to go out, driving and looking for a place to go. Then just settling for drinking in your car and looking at the stars while you ponder the meaning of everything. I love the communism idea, too...
