| yeah, i'd have to agree with GroovyJude... i think there's a specific concept to each one, but they are for the most part just an analogy of how messed up the world is. i heart the guitar tho... god Artifacts is an awesome song... | |

Waz Wanna Be |

| The older lyrics written by Niklas Sundin appear like complex poems to me. The dark figure, mankind or a ruthless part of mankind, prefers being at night (in an artificial light). The cry for night and all the darkness are metaphors for a desired world based on greed or whatever he wants it to look like. So he feeds the world (artifacts of the black rain used as a picture of how human interventions darken the world like nuclear winter) to make it look like how he wants it to look. He keeps on going like that, he leaves a dark, bloody trace and provokes the conflict that is sacred (sacred in a sense of "higher" than he is able to conceive) with the earth and is finally absorbed back in mother earth´s womb. The metaphor "mother earth bares her bleedin thighs" is cool. The last verse is clear but the way to it is written so complex, you could interpret a hundred different pictures in it. | |

| and also... "Whoever they're talking about is an extremely dark and mysterious, definately dangerous person. Words like "voyeur" adding a sickness and perversity to him. He seems one of a dark clan, who feasts on the night and lives in it." Could this dark, mysterious person that feasts on the night, and lives in it, represent the darkness of space and the universe somehow? | |
