This song is a statement of Brandon Boyd's personal beliefs, and is incredibly well written: as are all Incubus songs...but it also seems fitting for this song to take a stand against conformity in the society of today. It can apply to almost everything...Incubus is just an incredible band...

i agree. mind your own damn business. it's a private thing, so it shouldn't concern anyone else. i know there are a lot of new-age, anarchy (not really but it makes them feel cool) saying that religion is a form of government mind control. what do i have to say? go to hell, paranoid asses. life's not fair, quit whining and claiming everyone is out to destroy you and have a little fun, and for god's sake take some vallium.

I think you should all listen to New Skin by Incubus where the guy says: "Until the 20th century, reality was everthing humans could touch, smell, see and hear. Since the initial publication of the electromagnetic spectrum, humans have learnt that waht they can touch, smell, see and hear is less than one billionth of reality". You know, I think that kinda applies here as well. Kinda ironic that don't'cha think? ;)

Uh duh you will be happy if you live for yourself. I mean nothing against those how believe in the 1 god and heaven and hell and stuff, but hello, have any off you truely ever seen him? Bad things happen right? Why didn't he stop them if he's so powerful. I just don't see him as real. Oh another thing why is there logical explainations for things like evaloution? Think what you will but this song is exactly how I see it.
