"should i apologize... if what i say burns your ears and stings your eyes? oh, did i crack your shell? when it falls away you'll see we exist as well" i think it's about how some people are really ignorant and they want to stay that way so when someone shows them the truth they reject it. i'm totally guessing here. anyways, awesome song. one of my two favorite incubus songs. vitamin is my other. =)

It's about Dirk and Brandon fighting, so you guys were right lol damn if only they didn't fight ben kenney would have never been introduced into the picture

Sounds like someone who refuses to accept reality. They won't accept love or criticism, just live in a glass shell, sort of seperated from the world around them. "Oh, did I crack your shell? When it falls away you'll see we exist as well!" Get out of that glass case and join the rest of the world. Learn to empathize. Don't live in a bubble, damn it!

I would like to say that this is my favorite bass playing from Dirk Lance. It sucks that he left the band. :(
