Song - Aqueous Transmission
Artist - Incubus
Album - Morning View
tabbed by: Joaquin Castillo(elementman1@hotmail.com)
This is the last track on the album. I think its one of the most realxing,
artistic songs i've ever heard. Three cheers for Incubus.
There is only one bass riff.I play it on a 4-string, but i think it was
recorded with a 5.For a 4-string, drop to D. For 5 leave it in standard
4-string
G|----------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------|
A|----5-5-555---7-------------------|
D|------------------9---0-----------|
5-string
G|----------------------------------|
D|----------------------------------|
A|----5-5-555---7-------------------|
E|-------------------7--------------|
B|----------------------3-----------|

| I Just thought this was funny... Brandon's thoughts on this song: "'Aqueous Transmission', perhaps our most ambitious work to date, was first conceived with an instrument quite alien to Incubus and all of rock music to be precise. A 'Ko-kyu' is what was used here...One late evening we began conjuring and experimenting with this track and it quickly brought to mind the image and analogy of floating freely down a river; hence the content of the song. Our friend Suzi Katayama, who has in the past worked string arrangements with the likes of Bjork, Madonna and even Yours Truly for an acoustic performance in L.A., lent her classical finesse to this story. And in doing so helped it become exactly what we envisioned; a song so atmospheric and vibratory, it would make those who listened to it doze off into a land of rivers, kung fu and unicorns, eventually making the listener pee in her/his pants. (Attainable goals I think, but please don't operate any heavy machinery while listening to this one.)" | |

| Ok, try this. Read the song as if you are Brandon who has just got done singing a killer set and is now laying down in his tour bus which is barreling down the road to their next show. Brandon feels exhausted, but at the same time at peace and enlightened (hence the oriental music)(Buddhism?). He was just played a hard set, or done a lot of work on the album (the song is the last track). The bus=his vessel. The river=the road. The stars=lights on the bus. I don't know, it's just how I see things. Thanx for reading! -Peeks | |

| I like this song I fall asleep to it as well as others do. i am a very big fan of incubus and I love the cd Morning View. And all you people who are obbsessed with Brandon your really sick. He is hott but there is slim to nothing chance you'll ever met him. I suggest you find somone new that you can actully have a relationship with instead of wasting time dreaming about having sex with someone who dosen't even know you exist. In other words get a life. | |
