Song: Nice to Know You
Artist: Incubus
Album: Morning View
Tabbed by: L.A.
If you've read any of my other tabs you know the usual caveat: Dirk uses a 5
string, and even though I just bought a new bass it's still a 4 string,
which most bassists have anyway, so this is tabbed without flaw for a 4
string.
The last two tabs were way off, but kudos to Mark Pasierb and Scott Crist
anyway.
Drop-D tuning to get the lower notes.

| I agree, if that's true, with trevor and blinkfan. Once i wrote something about a conversation i was tring to get off my handand arm: Lost Watery Conversation I'm still sitting here trying to wash this conversation off my arm. I keep telling myself just let it go down the drain with the soapy, now violet, water. Slipping away with it's weighty words, and foul language just to be buried knee-deep in sewage, deep down, forgotten. The red words, my words, are gone, but your dark blue scribbles linger long that needed......... Well maybe it's better that way. You'd want it like that, 'cause then maybe she'd read it and vanish from your mind. Maybe she will. Then you'll be happy wont you? This was true (what trevor said that it was about that but a much deeper state of mind than that) b/c me and my friend had had written a convo on my hand, but i turned it into meaning something much deeper. It was kinda like a life experience that brought deep feelings, and sometimes imaginary ones. | |

| I think this song means you are finished with the other person in a relationship, "S aying Goodbye or sarcastically saying "Nice To Know You....yeah Right!" to someone you dispise. | |

| blinkfan is actually right. brandon boyde wrote the song about his hand. something ended up happening to a nerve in his wrist or hand and his hand went numb for a few days i think. brandon says in the song "i'm beginning to notice how much this feels like a waking limb," and when he says goodbye, he's saying goodbye to the numb feeling. the way brandon wrote this though was in a much deeper state of mind than that. it was written so that it could be interpreted in many ways, but that was his meaning. | |
