| I think this an awesome song and it always reminds me of the good times that I've shared with people hanging out at the beach. Those people aren't neccesarily lovers though, just close friends. I don't really think of this as a love song. | |

| Mrtownzjoo you are a fucking idiot...you didn't even know that hypocritical was a word so theres no way you can understand half of incubus's lyrics to even be able to make a dumbass comment like that. They didn't make this cd to appease the masses they did for themselves and if people like it then thats great but if assholes like you don't then i assume they don't care....how could you say incubus sold out??? They have a sound thats unlike any other band they've heard...they can do a powerful angry song like Pardon Me and then go straight to an uplifting love song like Wish You Were Here. They have some of the best most meaningful lyrics around and the band is excellent with there instruments. So to Mrtonwnzjoo just listen to what you like and keep your mouth shut about what you don't. | |

| Before I actually read the lyrics, I thought it was "I signal them with my ladder" Tee hee! It could be possible! Isn't it just funny imagining someone signalling UFOs with a ladder! It's funny! | |

| I think it is about the ovbious thing... Some one(maybe Brandon) in a state of total relaxation and peace " the worlds a roller coaster and I am not strapped in" he is free from everyday stessful life and does not have to worry about anything(doesn't have to worry about "holding on with care"). he is in the perfect place, on a beach, and everything is so beautiful and he just wishes that someone is there to share it with him If it is a specific person and who that is, we will never know (unless one of the writers tells us) But it is a great song As brain case stated it just puts you in a different state of mind, makes you feel like you are actually on the beach with the narrarator. the whole album does this to you. Even though a lot of it is loud and distiorted it is just so relaxing to listen to. It is written so well and exceptionally produced. It is a must have album for anyone who is a fan of music Listen to the whole album start to finish and you will understand what I am talking about | |
