You are all missing the last line. It seems Roger is a little conflicted here because he states what would have happened if all the tyrants (save for Hitler) had been thrown into the home and his father had never been sent to war. The "final solution" would have been applied. That, folks, would have been a bad thing. Hitler's final solution would have been disaterous for humanity. Interesting that Roger didn't want Hitler thrown into the home...
