| try listening to the music itself and you'll realize that the only real joy division-interpol parallel is the vocals anyway, i love interpol, but honestly, their lyrics don't seem to mean much | |

| This song is great. I'm also confused about the subway being a porno...I love the lines "It's up to me now, turn on the bright lights." Kind of makes me feel like everything's in my hands, and it's for me to decide what will happen. I love his voice. It's so nonchalant. | |

| This song has some relevance to Ian Curtis... I cant remember which JD song but theres something about "bright lights" ("It's up to me, now, to turn on the bright lights")there somewhere, and where Ian Curtis would just convince you the world was a meaningless whatever, Paul reassures you that "New York cares" | |

| when it says a subway is a porno... its referring to all the things that go down in the subway... such as prostitutes. transexuals. and whatever else. | |

| Stop comparing them to other bands and start recognizing them for who they are. They put on a great show in Houston. You really have to see them live in order to appreciate them even more. Great music! | |
