| as much as those bands rock in my opinion iron maiden will always be the best. just to clear up what an iron maiden is, its a sort off iron coffin, with spikes on the inside... not very pleasant. it seems to me that there saying, come in and watch me put people in this nice shiney iron maiden (possibly a christmas present from a distant reletive) i also think the song is better when sung live by dickinson, but its just my opinion | |

| Maiden ruuuuuuuuuuule! I agree that the song is probably about an actual iron maiden, nice images lol Classic song... most of their songs are classics in their own right though (in my opinion anyway). | |

| this song is awesome. there was a king and his wife in greek mythology. for some reason the gods made the wife have sex with a bull and she became pregant and gave birth to the minotaur. The king wanted the minotaur sealed away forever so he had his most brilliant advisor built a labrynth (maze) to keep the minotaur in. Once it was completed the advisor and his son Icarus were sealed inside with the minotaur so that nobody would ever know the way out or in. The advisor builts wings out of feathers, held together by wax. Icarus puts them on and flies out of the labyrinth. Once he flies out he become excited and continues to fly higher, to the horror of his father and the onlookers at the nearby town his wings melt and he drops into the sea and dies. Like I said, its a great song. | |

| This song is an explanation of the band's name, explaining how the band compares to an iron maiden, the torture tool. Love the song, and as well as Bruce sings it, he can't touch Paul on this one. | |

| "A man who drives a 60's lotus sports car around London, resigns from a Top secret job. We next see him packing for a holiday at home, and a credit appears ... "The Prisoner". He is gassed, falls asleep and then wakes up in "The Village". Everyone in "The Village" is a number, and is there for security reasons (people to dangerous and who hold too much information to just let go). The series spends all it's time trying to get the "information" out of No.6 about why he resigned. Plus it spends quite a while chasing him with a weather balloon :-) A strange cult UK TV series." Straight from the horses mouth it would seem, lol. Basically its like what DaddyMack and Teufel said. Based on the bands fav show...Plus i saw a documentry about The Number of the Beast album, and Dickinson said "The Prisoner" was based on the TV series | |

| "I read in an interview with Corey Taylor in Guitar World Magazine, that the Meaning of this song is about Alexander the Great" That's bullshit. What does Slipknot know anyway? | |
