	I don't think it's better when sung by dickinson, it's just different when Blaze sings it, rather than worse. The fact that Bruce sings it live also helps him a lot. Sorry about adding another clansman lyric, I thought that it had been left out (I didn't think to look under "T" for The Clansman) and so I was irate and wrote my own lyric. This is also my favourite song. I have a huge clansman flag and it's easily the best Eddie on it, I think.

	Am I the only one who thought this was about the KKK. I mean now that I see what you guys thought, I see I was wrong. However listen to it with the basis of it being about the KKK. It still makes sense and it's a different take on the song

	The Rock in Rio version is amazing, the FREEDOM chorus with the crowd is very inspiring

	hah. It reminded me of the KKK too, though I knew that's not what they meant. I actually thought it was about Celts and Romans, but meh...I was close enough.

	Definitely one of Blaze's best songs with Maiden. I like Blaze's version better. Clansman and Sign of the cross both of them i vote for blaze.

	This is my personal favourite Iron Maiden track, and as Bruce said at the Rock in Rio concert ("A song for everybody out there. A song based in medieval Scotland, called The Clansman. The song is about Freedom. Should be something familiar to you all, but it sometimes is not.") the song is about Freedom. As well as supporting possibly one of the best solos in Maiden History! Up the Irons!

	I'm a massive Maiden fan but this song is way more cheesy than most. I can only laugh when I hear the first cry of freedom and then switch tracks.
