	This was the song that got me into Iron Maiden. And yes cavalry was used up to and including world war two. The Germans had the 8th SS cavalry division. The Russians had Cossacks. I think this song is about the earlier wars in history due to the reference to muskets and bugles. Most probably the charge of the light brigade as UpTheIrons said. At least we can all agree that it's a kick ass song.
