	Incredible song from their best album! Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's short story, which is recognized as the first detective story, hence the Edgar Awards for Mystery. It's told from the point of view of the companion of M. Dupin, who used the deductive method of ratiocination to solve seemingly impossible riddles. Obviously the model for Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes and his friend Watson. Perhaps even Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot. The song has little to do with the actual story, with references to the plight of the accused, but nothing about the OurangOotang, as I believe is the original spelling.

	err, nope, yeah, it's inspired by the poe short story, but is not completely keeping with the story, in which 2 women were murdered, and an innocent was arrested, but an Orangutang (nt sure bout spelling) that had escaped from a sailor had killed them, sounds stupid, but honestly, I jus read it, it happened, dunno, looks like harris changed it to make better lyrics, coz maiden cant be doing with writing stories about chimps, can they? Maiden rule!
