Well, Obsidanhex is correct because Aaron has said that Oceanic tells a convoluted tale involving love, incest and suicide by drowning. The meaning of the album in simple terms so that this opener is telling "The Beginning And The End."

This was *bleep*ing fantastic last night! What a great way to open a show which was the entire "Oceanic" album. They were on amazing form.

Ass-kicking song and a great opener for an album. Although its somewhat to hard to figure out what the words are...

This is one of my favourite songs ever! I love the distorted female vocals during the bridge! And about the meaning I think walruspancakes is pretty much right. 1

I saw them last night in Edmonton when they opened for Tool. They didn't play this song, but they were absolutely unreal live. Never thought I'd get to see them play live, but I'm so glad I did. As for this song, I think it's about suicide. I mean, the lyircs pretty much spell it out. Even if not suicide, it's definately about death or a transition of some sort.
