| i think the line '1 bullet in this gun, not sure if it's for u or me' is my favourite line in this song. i also think 'u can always cover it with makeup' has two meanings- that you can always cover your scars with make-up, and that you can always hide away your pain. | |

| I agree with everyone hear, but I also think it has to do with the last comment by ladyboygirl, but I think "I envy your demise" could be taken to mean she envy's this person who's slowly dying(even if metaphirical), and wishes she could do the same, and resents the person for it maybe? This is just a personal interpretation, but I love thissong to pieces.. | |

| i think this is my favourite jack off jill er..one of them, since i adore every song they've put out. but i never get sick of this song. i think it's about hating someone, but you hate yourself for hating them as well. *shrug* i think it's also about wanting to hide who you are to stop the pain[you can always cover me with makeup] it's about a lot of things really.. hurting yourself, self image, wanting revenge, etc etc..i think. although one can never be sure. xo. | |

| Personally, I take that the song has a literal meaning. That, "I envy your demise" is just that, someone just rotting away because someone they loved commited suicide. They kind of hate the person for doing it, but at the same time, they wish they could join them. The "One bullet in this gun, Not sure if it's for you or me" is as though they're contemplating suicide, and whether they're doing this for themselves, or because they're mad at the person. The "With all the guilt you hid away" could be the reasons the person commited suicide in the first place, and the "All the lies that I had spun" could be hiding the hate and and wanting to join the person. "Now, all that I'll ever suffer, All that I'll ever be, All that I'll ever ruin" is all the pain and anguish the person feels, and "You can always cover me with makeup" is how easy it is to hide it from everyone. "When it burned it smelled like you" things remind the person of their dead loved one, and "But it scorched and looked a lot like me" it just makes them rememer that its just them that remains. 1 | |

| I see a couple possible meanings to this song. One, I think it could be about being screwed up yourself, and there's someone rotting away in front of you and part of you just wishes you could just fade away too. You know, you envy them for being able to just let themselves rot away but there's something holding you back, you hide all the destructive things you do but just are envious of how they're fading.. Or it could be about a relationship of some sort. It could be abusive, "one bullet in this gun not sure if it's for you or me", angry at him for hurting her so badly yet so angry and upset with herself she doesn't know who she hates more. "All, all that i'll ever suffer/All, all that i'll ever be/All, all that i'll ever ruin you can always cover me with makeup" All that she suffers could be suffering from him, and all that she ruins could be she ruined something with him and she just hides it all away, or it could be she hurts herself somehow and she can hide it from everyone. "When it burned it smelled like you but it scorched and looked a lot like me" Hurting herself over him, yes you could link the whole thing to self-injury, you're motivating me and yet i'm hurting myself not you..It's a really really great song. I can interpret it to mean self-injury and self hate and being afraid to trust and it can have a really deep meaning for me, yet someone else can interpret it into a relationship and the hurt from themselves and the other person and it can have a deep meaning for them too and a lot of JoJ's songs can be like that. So good =) | |

| i think it's kindal ike she hates someone for something but she also feels that way and she kinda feels like a hypocrite for hating them for it. | |
