| yeah same thing for me. it was an all ages show tho and like 80% of the people there were 12 year old girls who only new "the middle" and "sweetness". Nonetheless it was an amazing show and this is one of my favorite songs. Especially the what ya gonna do for me part. its just like hes done so much for her but when the world caves in what is [she] gonna do for him? | |

| Buzzz...wrong. It's not about girlfriend or friend relationships. He's on the West Coast and telling someone about his alientation from the folks around him and simply wanting out. There are some curious hints as to the reason for his alienation and his "walking across America" is more an expression of frustration than a solution. The simple rock idiom used belies the depth of the message in this song. Adkins captures the general malise in the country in this song as well as others he writes. Not many generations are blessed with artists like Adkins and his JEW brothers. Treasure them. | |

| Wow, someone nailed it on the head, or so it seems. I just think that it is one of the most beautifuly complex songs with an all around appeal. It reminds me of Fade to Black or El Scorcho, all great songs that can be argued about for years, although El Scorcho isn't seemingly as serious it is, but in a different way, check it if you want to; J E W, Weezer, and the a lot of Metallica songs are truly rare and special, especially in a world ruled by poeple who sell entire albums devoted to the money, cars, drugs, and hoes. | |

| I agree, the lyrics are awesome. I wish I could write half as good as this. And the melody is just beautiful...as always. | |

| haha, exactly seaaubade, This song really can get stuck in your head for a long time, [like almost like Jimmy Eat World's songs] I really like the line "And how long would it take me to walk along the U.S. alone". I think that they wrote this song, in the perspective, of someone getting dumped after having a long time long distance relationship. At least that's what I felt when I heard this song for the first time. Clarity is defently their best album! | |
