hes lost himself. as time went on, hes completely transformed and conformed into the status quo, now hes wanting to be who he used to be...thats just how i understand it

Coldplay and Keane both have very charismatic singers, but Keane are so much more atmospheric and their songs have a more spacey feeling. Keane writes a better love song, too.

I beliave it`s about a man who has lost faith in himself and needs reassurance that what he`s doing really matters. He longing for something to bring the meaning back to his life. Great song in every way!

sorry but i think he's talking about crystal meth or something. i love keane but i seriously think this is about a drug addict who whenever he has a problem he thinks that the drugs can help the situation even though he knows that the drugs are killing him.

nice lyrics, but there's something annoying to me about the way he sings "crystal ball"... it's a sort of juvenile song if you ask me, i like them, but i ahve yet to be very impressed with this album. i'll give it another chance though.

About a man who's lost and looking for any means of a way to get him back on the right track so he can be the person he used to be? I like this song, it has a nice beat to it

Keane are surely one of the biggest if not the biggest sceptical band around at the moment underlined with lines like "i'm fading out" "everything i know is wrong" "not sure i;m even here" Yes Keane you are here!
