| my old boyfriend Shaun, always used to listen to this song. I guess he really related to it and I didn't realise it. I guess he couldn't take it anymore, so he commited suicide. We played this song at his funeral. This song makes me break down into tears. | |

| That line about "It's been so long" was very true to me. I was locked up in a juvenile correctional center, and every time I heard that song it focused me to work harder at being released early. Very motivational. | |

| I hate Kid Rock. Sorry. But this is probably the only song I like by him. In fact, it's one of my favorite songs over most bands/groups/etc. that I prefer. "Only God knows why" these things happen. Why people are forced to live through hardships. This song is simply a reminder that, no matter how hard you search for an answer in your life, only God knows why. Take what happens to you, and survive. "Keep walking with my head held high, I'll keep moving on and only God knows why." | |

| Kid Rock is rock, but he knows a thing or two about country and roots. I watched one of those Behind-The-Music thing about him, and I think I remember them saying that he grew up on country. Good job on this one Kid. Makes me feel every time. And I doubt he wrote this song for the sole purpose or goal of making money. | |
