| don't come too close, you don't wanna see my ghost!! ohhhh, i love it =) the kooks are the best brits out there. i guess this is about getting over an ex or something of the sort. i love the part where it slows down in the middle, his voice is so brilliant. | i absolutely love this song. i think this is about a girl who messed him about and went off with another guy. and now the ghost haunts him, as he says in the awesome line ' dont come too close you dont wanna see my ghost'. and now she wants him back, Don't come too close "You don't wanna see my ghost Your turn but I'm betrayed By you my sweetheart" hes saying that now tis her turn to want him, but he was betrayed by ehr before and now he feels messed up by his past, his 'ghost' | |

"I always seem to play these games with you my dear" but now she has cheated on him, which he thinks is going too far. the "you don't wanna see my ghost" thing is that he feels like he is dead, now that she crushed his heart. he need time alone from her. match box is a good title. both for the fact that she is burning down their relationship and that he is going out with the boys to set the town "on fire" tonight | |
