i really like the quote towards the end of this song, and since it wasn't posted, here it is: "I was young once too, I felt just like you. Hated authority, hated all my bosses, thought they were full of shit. It's like they say, if you aren't a rebel at the age of 20, you've got no heart, but if you haven't turned established by 30, you've got no brains. Because there are no stories of romance, no fairy tale endings. Before you run out and change the world, ask yourself, what do you really want?"

this song could very well be about suicide, but to me it represents how you can put a gun to anything. And for me, these lyrics are like me asking my ex girlfriend not to put the gun to our friendship.

This isn't a suicide song to me. The gun in your hand is the power you have over your own life. Sometimes we feel like we're not in control, but this person can't see through all their sucess and potential, no one is shaping his life but him, he's at the wheel, the gun is in his hand. Only he can pull the trigger and make things happen.

The quote in this song is from a movie called "Swimming With Sharks" starring Kevin Spacey.
