| ...and this one... Aaaw so sweet. They always no manage to capture the raw essence of emotions. I've seen them live a couple of times and they are just as good live. | |

| i think the song is about either a failed friendship, or a friendship between a guy and a girl, and she feels for him but he dosnt feel as strongly as she does and really isnt ready to admit it but when he is he's hoping she'll be there "When my heart finally opens will you be there to embrace me" | |

| It could mean that when someone loves another so much, and it's allf fucked up, and she balmes herself for them not being together, but he's blaming it on himself to make her feel better, and in the end he wants her to be there for her. | |

| I always thought of it as a failed relationship, but I guess I can see the friend thing too. I think of it as admitting to one another that it's over and one person offering to take the blame, even though it's pointless because it won't make a difference who is to blame. The last line is the most important to me. That's the heart of a breakup: admitting that the person you thought was filling the void in you wasn't able to do it. It's crushing to have to start that all over. | |

| I always viewed this song as a song about having to break up with someone. "its not you its all me" is one of those standard lines and i think that is what Karl is singing about. He no longer feels like he once did in the relationship "all lights burn out" | |

| Two long time friends who grew up together know everything about each other, except the feelings they hide from the other. Both are scared of ruining what they already have. He is offering to take the blame if they do not work and they cannot go back to where they are. The violins represent celebratory music, when she sees him in this new way. | |
