| i think the song has a very good message, yes its about groupies getting dragged down into that kind of situation, but look at the line, "You know I'm the one you want. I must be the one you need" So Plants saying that there needs to be something more than them just wanting to shag him. | |

| this is sort of the same subject matter as "what is and what should never be". seems like he had a thing for the groupie teen chicks that must have always been around him, but based on the lyrics of these songs, must have kept that thing as a fantasy and not let it actually happen. | |

| yeah definitely about groupies and how robert plant feels sorry for them quote from Rolling Stone magazine 1975 Plant - "Its a shame really. If you listen to "Sick Again," a new track on Physical Graffiti, the words i show feel a bit sorry for them.... ...One minute she's 12 and the next minute she's 13 and she's over the top. Such a shame. They haven't got the style that they had in the old days... way back in '68. | |

| From what I've read about Jimmy Page, that last sentence is probably not accurate... | |

| This is one of Zeppelin's bitterest lyrics, underpinned by Page's fearsome licks. I agree with Grobus when he says there's a real depth to it. Also notice how Plant sounds a lot like Steve Marriott of The Small Faces when he sings "You know I'm the one you want, I must be the one you need, yeah". | |
