	This song is about being a man. Stand up to your girl, don't let money be your first priority, when you screw up it's your fault etc etc. Lyrically this is one of my fav Zep tune. It really shows Plant's maturity as not just a songwriter but as a human being who had seen it all. My fav. line is: "But if you're standing in the middle, Ain't no way you're gonna stop." - It's so true. The last stanza is great - I think it means one has to play the game of life, head on (no use hiding in the corner). But if you play too hard you will get burned out by life's dissappointments. Also note that Plant wrote this song straight up, very little metaphors. Looks like he actually wanted us to really understand his message.

	I think this song is totally awesome. Every single song from zeppelin is so hypnotic - I have never heard anything as brilliant as Page on that guitar. Anyway, about their pact with Satan - I honestly can say that I believe you. I wouldn't doubt for one moment what they had up their sleeve while putting songs together...

	Sorry my mistake, the song(In the Evening) is about the Devil and the Black Sabbath. Celebration Day and Achilles Last Stand are about the Pact with Satan. You want the meaning, here it is. After being a Zep Head for over 25 years and meeting Page a few years ago, believe me, this is the truth, study and dig deep for yourself, guess about a thing you really ought to know.

	Didn't Jones write most of the songs on the album or steer them down the synthesizer path? And if I remember correctly, the rest of the band wasn't exactly excited about how it turned out. Probably my least favorite Zeppelin album, but this song is pretty hot- makes me want to go to a dark seedy bar and dance for strange men! HA!

	I am not entirely sure what the song means...but... it's my favorite song of all time. I think it's just a song meant to be played when you are driving down the freeway with someone you love.
