| omgggggggggggggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!! where do i start let me start off by saying john bnham is the greatest drummer of all time. i play drums and he is my number one favorite drummer of all tiem forever in heaven he is my number one favoprite drummer of all time and he is my biggest idol. let me also say im a HUGE!!!!!!! HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HUGE!!!!!! ZEPPELIN FAN. they are the best band ever they are my number one favorite band forever in heaven and they will always be my number one favorite band forever in heaven. soo let me talk about the original moby dick off of zeppelin 2. that is one the greatest solos i have ever herd in my life that was put on an original recording. next Moby Dick at madison square garden was amazing ( seen on TSRTS) he sounds soo good its not even funny all in all a great performance by bonzo( also he lights his gong on fire at the end of the concert rly kewl). Next Moby Dick on HTWWW amazing as usualll starts of rly fast and does his usual routine of kicking ass and rocking on the drums(also a great great performance through out the concert check it out). Alst and the best MOBY DICK PERFORMED ON THE LED ZEPPELIN DVD. WWWWWWWWOOOOOOOWWWWW IT IS INCREDIBLE LIKE NOTHING IVE EVER HERD HE STARS OUT WITH THE GUITAR AND BASS WHICH IS AMAZING THEN GOES INTO A SLOW STEADY PACE AND THEN STARST FLYING AROUND HIS DRUMSET ONCE THAT WAS OVER(I WISH IT WASNT) hE STARTS PLAYING ON THE BONGOS WHICH IS INCREDIBLE . THEN TO FINISH OFF THIS AMAZING PERFORMANCE HE GOES CRAZY ON HIS SET (FASTEST IVE SEEN HIM PLAY) AND HE GOES RIGHT BACK INTO THAT SWEET GROVE AND THEN FOOLS AROUND TO FINSISH IT OFF. ALL IN ALL AN INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE BY THE BEST AND MY NUMBER ONE FAVORITE DRUMMER OF ALL TIEM AND ALWAYS WILL. ITS SAD THAT HE DIED SOO YOUNG BUT HE IS IN ALL OF OUR HEARTS AND IS MISSED DEEPLY GOD BLESS BONHAM AND THANK U FOR EVERTHING. | |

| the studio drum solo isn't done live it was pieced toghether by jimmy. the best live version i've heard is the 3/11/75 Long Beach version. if you intend on playing the solo exactly the same as bonzo i would advise agaist it. be creative and make up your own. | |

| i've got to agree with gimpy on this one. moby dick is funny to me because moby means huge, and he was a white sperm whale. i'm guessing the band knew this stuff too. | |
